Earlier this year we changed a few things around here. One of the topics we tackled was the overall logo and branding layout of the SPI-tv Media Group ‘splash logo’. We came up with a new name and with the new name came a great new logo that doubles as a fine piece of artwork design by our 3D guru Ryan Duff who has completed some fantastic work recently for a national car brand. (Look for it here)
The blue metallic ‘block’ for the SPI Design Group, a moniker we later dropped, is a bold design that plays with 3D space using the three letter for the acronym, SDG. You can see our initial process was extensive as we played around with line thickness and shadow. But as any great editing and re-visionary process goes at the end of the day we dropped the SDG name in favor of an all encompassing more specific change. One that won’t concentrate of one aspect of communications in the ‘design’ portion of the name and feature the more comprehensive and process that we’ve been known for since our opening days.
